The Junior & Intermediate Swim Camp
The Junior & Intermediate Swim Camp was held from the 23rd - 25th January at Bell Block Pool in New Plymouth with accommodation at Elizabeth Hostel at SHGC.
This was once again a fantastic few days and it was great to see 23 swimmers challenge themselves, learn new skills, and enjoy the camp experience.
We were extremely fortunate to receive support from the Toi Foundation, which made it possible for us to provide accommodation and keep the camp inclusive and affordable for everyone who wanted to participate.
A massive thank you to all those parents who stepped up to be Camp Leaders (Paul Veric, Isabella Roche & David Riley), Ngaire the cook, Mariano, Fiona, and the Inglewood coaching team. These people gave up their weekend to help with training, organise activities, entertain and look after these young swimmers throughout the camp.
These swimmers will now be feeling more confident and preared for the summer season of competitions, both locally and nationally.
